Ward was the earliest baby born in MonroeLouisiana on 15 April 1976. Monroe Christian School served as her Christian elementary school. Ward attended Ouachita parish high school for her secondary education. After that, she attended River Oaks High School the season following her senior year. She was also a student at Northeast Louisiana University briefly after the completion of her degree. Ward began modeling at the age of thirteen. She left school in order to relocate into New York. A few years afterward she made the decision to pursue acting. In the 1970s, she first appeared in an uncredited role in the soap-opera All My Children and was later cast in the short-lived NBC premier-time teen-drama Malibu Shores. In the latter half of 1996Ward got a job on the daytime soap-opera Sunset Beach where she portrayed the sexually virginal Meg Cummings. In 1999, she began a film career. She starred on The In Crowd as psychotic Brittany Foster. Although the movie failed to earn money at the theatre but it made a splash in the world of cable and DVD. Ward was then in a crucial supporting role in Shallow Hal, a hit film. Alongside her direct-to-DVD role, Ward made many guest appearances in TV shows like Friends. She was the principal actor in ABC Family's drama series Make It or Break It in the beginning of its two seasons in 2009. The year 2009 was the time she got the role Chloe Kmet as the mother of a teen gymna. In private she was the wife of David C. Robinson. The couple was blessed with a son who was named Cameron.
